Missing a gene

Are boys made without the “I can find it myself” gene?
I swear that they must be.
My husband asked me to find his pajamas a while back. His pajamas. Why in the world would I know where HE put HIS pajamas? However, I did. 2nd drawer from the top, in his dresser.
Justin asks me daily where his shoes are. I should have no idea where he took them off. I know where he is supposed to take them off. But there are a million other places where he could have actually removed them. However, 100% of the time I can point him in the right direction.
And Andrew… Andrew… Andrew… he loves that bear blanket of his. It’s almost a limb. But do you think he could keep track of it? No. Every time we are about to go to bed, he can’t find the thing. “I looked everywhere” he says. 3 seconds later I have found it, right where I told him to look.
Often I am asked to find things that are sitting right in front of their faces. It’s almost as if they were built so that they are completely unable to see things. I know other wives and mothers complain of this same problem - so it really seems to be a male/female issue. However, it is maddening to be the keeper of all objects in this house. I find my brain getting dumber and dumber, because it’s storing all this worthless information. Soon I am not going to be able to add 2+2, but I will be able to find that elusive belt that my husband has been complaining about for the last 3 days.

Michelle I totally agree. They really dont have that gene. Or atleast that gene seems totally incapacitated when the thing they are looking for is right in front of them!
We just gota deal with it.

Can you help me find my headset charger? It’s been missing for the better part of a week, making it impossible to call you from the car and ask you this over the phone.

Hey, yeah, when you find that belt, let me know! I swear it got swallowed into a black hole. That, or it’s in my dresser somewhere. Thanks babe!

I knew a lady once who told me the uterus is a tracking device!
I believe it because when I was pg I couldn’t find anything. I used to tell my husband it was because my tracking device was occupied at the moment.
